Jeff Poe is a dedicated photography educator who leads immersive workshops and photo tours for photographers using any phone or camera, at all experience levels. His teaching style is practical, encouraging, and rooted in real-world shooting rather than rigid formulas.

Whether teaching from a boat, on the trail, or at a scenic overlook, Jeff’s goal is to help photographers grow creatively—and leave with images they are proud to display.

The Chesapeake Photographic Experience

Step aboard the classic powerboat Darling. As your captain navigates to the region’s most compelling sunrise and sunset locations, Jeff provides continuous guidance to help you capture exceptional images in a truly unique setting.

This intimate workshop emphasizes:

• Understanding light and composition

• Unlocking hidden photo features on phones and optimizing camera settings

• Photographing iconic landmarks such as Thomas Point Lighthouse and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

• Capturing local wildlife, including ospreys and great blue herons

What’s Included

• 3.5 hours on the water aboard Darling

• US Coast Guard–certified captain

• Hands-on photographic instruction throughout the experience

• Full Moon (Buck Moon) and Sunset Experience  Wednesday July 29th. 6:30pm   $450 per person
• Sunrise Experience. Sunday August 9th 5:30am $400 per person
