Having fun on Darling!

Time sure does fly when you're having fun! It's hard to believe July is already here.

Last month, our charter guests celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, proposals ,family visits, graduations, and romantic evenings aboard Darling. We cherish being a part of your special moments and take pride in crafting personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression.

July kicks off with Canada Day on July 1st, a special occasion for us as Captain Alexandra hails from Victoria, BC, on Canada's picturesque west coast. The mild climate there makes it ideal for year-round sailing and offers stunning cruising grounds. If you haven't visited this part of Canada yet, we highly recommend it! Alexandra's sailing journey began at a very young age with dinghies before advancing to larger keelboat racing. She boasts an impressive racing record and extensive experience navigating long passages and ocean voyages.

Four years ago, Alexandra moved to Annapolis where she married her longtime sweetheart, Bill, in an intimate waterside ceremony at the Eastport Yacht Club.Two years later, they launched Darling Charters. As a US Coast Guard licensed Captain, Alexandra not only captains Darling but also collaborates closely with each client to deliver a bespoke charter experience. The remainder of July promises to be lively with celebrations of Independence Day and the summer season aboard Darling. Many guests will start their journey from their community or private home pier aboard Darling, returning there or being dropped off downtown, at our Eastport docks, or a favorite waterfront restaurant. This added "WOW" factor truly enhances your experience. We've also received requests to pick up guests from wedding venues. Annapolis has many fabulous waterfront wedding locations such as the Annapolis Maritime Museum, Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, and of course the yacht clubs. What better way to arrive or depart than aboard a beautifully adorned classic boat? We can even decorate the boat with flowers or nautical signal flags to suit the occasion.
